Snow is on it's way out in the Willmar Lakes Area. The trails are in poor conditon for winter sports due to the rain and warm temps this past week. Overall it was a fantastic Winter Season with plenty of snow which made for great trail conditions. Time to switch to Spring and Summer Mode!

2-23-10-Sibley State Park

The skiing trails are in good condition with a trail base of 8 inches to 10 inches. The snowmobiling trails are also in good condition with a trail base of 6 inches to 8 inches. The local snow depth is around 20 inches.

2-23-10-Glacial Lakes State Trail

The snowmobile trail is in good condition with a trail base of 4" to 8". Trail is roughly 22 miles long and groomed on a regular basis. The local snow depth is 20".

2-16-10-Sibley State Park Trail

The skiing trails are in excellent condition with a trail base of 8 inches to 10 inches. The snowmobiling trails are also in excellent condition with a trail base of 6 inches to 8 inches. The trails were groomed on 2-12 and 2-14. The local snow depth is around 20 inches.

2-16-10-Glacial Lakes State Trail

The trails are in good condition with a trail base of 4 inches to 8 inches. The local snow depth is 22 inches to 24 inches. The Spicer and New London section may become a little choppy over the weekend due to heavy traffic.

2-10-10-Sibley State Park Trail

Sibley has excellent ski conditions at the moment! All classic trails are tracked and ready for use. It is picture postcard beautiful out there, a great time to get out and ski. The sledding hill next to the trail center is ready for use. The trail base for skiing is 8 inches to 10 inches. Sibleys snowmobileing trails are in very good condition. The trails are currently partially groomed with a trail base of 6 inches to 8 inches. Local snow depth is around 20 inches.

2-10-10-Glacial Lakes State Trail

The snowmobile trail is in very good condition and has been recently groomed. The trail base is 4 inches to 8 inches and the local snow depth is 22 inches to 24 inches.

2-3-10-Sibley State Park Trail

All ski trails have been groomed as of 2/2/10. Sibley received a couple inches of much needed new snow and the ski trails are in great shape. The snowmobile trails thorugh the park are in nice shape as well and are very scenic. The sledding hill next to the trail center has been groomed and is ready for use. Our winter hiking trail is plowed and packed, or you can venture out on showshoes on our summer trails. Snowmobiling trail conditions are very good with a trail base of 3-5 inches. Skiing trails are in very good condition with a trail base of 6 inches.

2-3-10- Glacial Ridge State Trail

The trail has been groomed regularly and is still in good condition. The Spicer to New London section may become choppy over the weekend due to high traffice. Trail base is 3-5 inches and the local snow depth is 12-14 inches.

1-26-10-Sibley State Park Trail

Recent rain and drizzle has turned the ski trails very icy, and the conditions are currently poor. We expect it to inmprove with colder weather moving in which will allow the trail to be groomed. The winter hiking trail is plowed and pack, or you can venture our on snowshoes on our summer trails. The snowmobile trails are in good condition with a trail base of 2-4".
